Tyler Sigman is an award-winning game designer, writer, instructor, and reformed aerospace engineer. He was the lead designer and writer on Age of Empires: the Age of Kings DS, and holds a B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from Cal Poly. Tyler owns Sigman Creative Services LLC, a small firm that provides contract game design and writing services to game developers.
The goal of Strange Journeys is to provide insight and commentary into the daily life (?grind?) of a working creative. The blog was inspired by the practical, useful, and entertaining content Tyler’s has had the good fortune of devouring in the past, including the excellent Sam and Jim Go to Hollywood podcast, Jane Espenson’s writing blog, and the ancient but hugely helpful “Game Designer’s Journal” series from John Wick on the GamingOutpost.com circa 2000.
